The CDA supports initiatives and efforts of relevant stakeholders to reduce the scourge of substance abuse and related social ills and ensures that there is coherence, integration and collaboration between such stakeholders in the management of substance abuse in the country.
Members of the Board are expected to work with key stakeholders including the Department of Social Development, law enforcement authorities and the Non-Profit Organisations (NPO) sector to address substance abuse and its effects on families and communities.
