Dr Gurunathen Kistnasamy is an Independent Member of the CDA Board. He holds a PhD, M.Ed, B.Ed, B.A, Dip. Special Educ, Dip. Educ. He is a Psychologist in private practice at Chatsmed Hospital in Chatsworth and a member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) and the South African Addiction Medicine Society (SAAMS) as well as a Community Activist in the area of substance use disorders and mental health.

Dr.Kistnasamy is a Recipient of the Harvard Fellowship Award. He has published articles in newspapers and magazines.
